FAKE WINDOWS 10 UPDATE / RANSOMWARE

News this week brought us a warning about a new, Fake Windows 10 Update that is being distributed via email. This new attack is very nasty and will result in Ransomware. This means that your data/computer will be unusable until you pay the hackers. (and even then maybe or maybe not)
So a few things here. 1) Microsoft does not distribute patch information or warnings via email. (They also won’t call you on the phone either.) 2) Be VERY careful with email. Vulnerabilities or malicious software are often sent through email. Only open them if you are very sure of what it is.
